Queen Mary’s historic campus has been part of East London’s community since 1887. Fast-forward to the present day and it remains an anchor institution in East London. Proud of its ongoing commitment to local communities, today it’s a vibrant centre for innovation, research, and education making it the perfect setting for BRS 2026.

The Annual Meeting will take place across two buildings - Queens Building (Exhibition, Posters and Catering) and Graduate Centre (Main lecture theatre and workshops). For a detailed location map of the Mile End Campus click HERE

 

Getting Here

The Mile End Campus is located in East London, and is easily accessible by public transport. Please use the Transport for London Journey Planner to help you plan your journey: https://tfl.gov.uk/plan-a-journey/ 

Tube

  • Stepney Green tube station is on the District and Hammersmith and City lines. Turn left out of the station and walk along Mile End Road for approximately 5 minutes until you reach the East Gate on your left.
  • Mile End tube station is on the Central line. Turn left out of the station, cross over the junction, walk under the bridge and along Mile End Road for approximately 2 minutes. 
  • You should enter the campus via the Clocktower entrance in front of the Queens' Building or via Bancroft Road which leads onto the campus next to the Graduate Centre.

Bus

The Mile End campus is based on Mile End Road, on the 25 and 205 bus routes, with a stop right outside the campus.

Transport for London publishes interactive maps showing Underground, Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and bus information.

Car

Car parking for visitors is not offered on campus and due to the central location we strongly advise that you use public transport. Local parking restrictions apply on weekdays. There are very limited blue badge holder spaces available but if you would like to request one then please email at education-liaison@qmul.ac.uk.   

 

Local Shops

There is a Union Shopo & Café onsite. Outside of the campus,  Sainsbury's Local is opposite the main entrance aand is open from 07:00-00:00 every day.   

There are multiple pharmacies along Mile End Road, within a few minutes walking distance.
