Award winners

 

BRS New Investigator Award and Best Presentation Award applicants must be:

  • A member of BRS at the time of applying
  • Within 5 years of attainment of higher degree or completion of specialist training
  • A presenting author (oral or poster) at BRS meeting  

New Investigator Awards

For the top scoring abstracts from eligible authors.
Award - £400 towards registration, accommodation fees and travelling expenses

Best Presentation Awards

Presentations will be judged during the meeting and prizes will be awarded as follows

  • Best oral
  • Best oral poster
  • Best poster 

Award - £100

Bursaries

The Society also offers bursaries of up to £150 towards the cost of attending the meeting to BRS members submitting abstracts.

ASBMR Travel Awards

ASBMR has generously offered 2 travel grants of up to $1500 for ASBMR in-training members residing outside of the UK to attend the Liverpool meeting. The awards will be judged on the quality/score of abstracts submitted by first and presenting authors, the deadline for which is 12 Feb 2016. Registration fees will also be waived for the successful awardees.

BRS is grateful to ASBMR for their generous support. 

If you are eligible and would like to apply for an ASBMR Travel Grant please email a scanned letter signed by your head of department/supervisor to events@boneresearchsociety.org by the 12 Feb 2016. The letter should include the title of your abstract and should verify your eligibility.
