Dear BRS Friends and Colleagues,
We are delighted that next July we will be welcoming you live and in-person to BRS 2022 in Manchester. From atomic theory and splitting the atom, to in-vitro fertilisation and graphene, Manchester has been the birthplace of many important scientific discoveries. There is also a long history of leading basic science, pediatric and adult clinical bone research being conducted in the city, so it seems the perfect place to reconnect after three years without face-to-face meetings.
The Bone Research Society is a unique society with a friendly ethos and true community - we have so missed spending time with you all and are relieved and happy to be moving forward with our plans to welcome you to the Manchester Metropolitan University Business School in July. This award-winning, modern venue will afford us plenty of space and ease of accessibilty so that we can ensure everyone will feel comfortable and at ease.
We have been working hard with our committee to put together a new, updated scientific programme which you will find presents basic scientists, clinicians, and allied healthcare professionals of all career stages with the newest research.
The sessions will include talks by world-leading experts, our popular New Investigator, Muscle and Bone and Rare Bone Disease workshops, and of course plenty of oral communications and poster sesssions. We have made sure to build in longer networking and poster presentation sessions to make up for lost time with colleagues!
We are looking forward to receiving your submitted abstracts, the deadline has been extended from 7 March to midnight on Monday 14 March 2022. We will be in touch three weeks after that date to let you know if your abstract has been accepted as a poster or oral communications.
