Full meeting: The registration rate for the full meeting includes selected pre-meeting workshops on Wednesday 6 July (Muscle and Bone Workshop and New Investigator/Mid-Career Workshop) and then all sessions on Thursday 7 July and Friday 8 July.  Lunch and refreshments at the conference venue are included on all days.

Rare Bone Disease Workshop: This workshop will be held on Wednesday 6 July from 16:00-19:00 and will include a light Supper. There is a reduced rate of £20 for those delegates who have already purchased registration for the the full BRS 2022 meeting. 

Single Day tickets: Single day tickets can be purchased for the Thursday and Friday. If you select this option, please remember to tell us which day you will be attending. Lunch and refreshments are included on each day.

Reduced/Concession registration fee:  To confirm your eligibility for the reduced fee you must send the eligibility form completed by your Head of Department of Supervisor to events@boneresearchsociety.org within 7 days of registering meeting the following criteria:  

Eligibility criteria(you must meet criteria 1 and then one or more of 2, 3, 4 & 5)

  1. A Member of BRS (at the time of applying and during the annual meeting)
  2. In training or within 5 years of attainment of higher degree or completion of specialist training based on full time equivalent work (allowances can be made for career breaks e.g. maternity leave/sickness/changing careers or for those working part time; please add details).
  3. Or you must be earning less than £20K per annum
  4. Or from a current lower-middle-income country
  5. Or Retired.

With regards to the ever-changing COVID situation, we will be adhering to the Government guidelines which are in place at the time of the BRS Annual Meeting.  Our priority of course will be to ensure that our faculty and attendees are safe and will put in place any social distancing requirements which will be needed at the time.  As we get nearer to the date, we may be required to ask all attendees to provide proof of a negative flow test.

 

Accommodation

Accommodation is available for £75.00 per night, at the newly built Archway Halls Student Campus (a 10 minute walk from the Business School where the meeting will take place).  For delegates with limited mobility or other additional needs, please contact events@boneresearchsociety.org so that we can identify alternative accommodation for you.

The Archway accommodation consists of cluster flats which have an open plan kitchen, dining and living space with eight single ensuite bedrooms in each flat. Continental breakfast will be served in the communal kitchens in each flat on Thursday morning, and on Friday morning a full English breakfast will be served in the Brooks Building (a short walk across the central piazza).

There is a local supermarket and cafe two minute walk away.

You can book your accommodation at the same time as registering for the meeting.  More information about this accommodation can be found herePLEASE NOTE: ONLINE BOOKING FOR ARCHWAY HALLS IS NOW CLOSED, we now kindly ask our delegates to book their own accommodation at the hotel of their choice.

BRS Carers Allowance

We realise that attending meetings and being away from home may present difficulties for those with caring duties. A grant of up to £100 is available to members who incur additional childcare or other caring costs to attend the annual BRS meeting.

Cancellation of Registration / Refund Requests

All cancellations of registration or refund requests must be made in writing to the Bone Research Society events@boneresearchsociety.org

Cancellation of registration or refund requests will be accepted until and on Friday 6 May 2022 – cancellation requests received before this date will be subject to an administrative charge of 10%.

For cancellations or refund requests made after Friday 6 May 2022 (for any reason including ill health) we regret that no refunds can be made or authorised.

Please send your email confirmation and receipt with the written cancellation. Refunds will be processed after the event.

It is recommended that all delegates take out insurance to cover their registration, travel and accommodation costs to cover the case that they are unable to attend or the event is cancelled for any unforeseen reason. The BRS takes no responsibility for reimbursing delegates’ expenses in such cases.

Delegates are fully liable for damages caused to third parties and property. All delegates shall have valid, comprehensive third party liability insurance.
